So often we are more focused on what the results, or the finale, or the bloom will be. We forget the beauty that begins in the roots of our endeavors.
As the numbers on the calendar change once again I am inspired by the hopefulness and imagination at the beginning of a new year. However, I have to remember that time is cyclical. We don’t always have to wait for the end of something to start again... We have endless - infinite - opportunities to find small joys, see glimmers of inspiration, and to begin anew.
After spending almost an entire year in hiatus, going back to the very beginning has given me new insight into this new year. My goals are aimed higher, the list of books to read grows deeper, the sun stays up just a little longer… And the cache of unmade ideas gets fuller! Here’s what we all can look forward to at the start of 2026!

The return of OSGoodies! Goodies are monthly made-to-order and one-of-a-kind mystery items that all share one main theme.
All the way back in 2022, I asked for the trust of the OSG community to start making new items that I’d never tried before – and to make them a surprise! Some styles were celebrated and became staples in the catalogue of my work…. other things… will not be revisited. All of them filled my cup of creativity and brought me so much joy to share. So I am elated to bring the magic back into 2026!
In December I offered a 3-month subscription to OSGoodies, encompassing the Winter Season:
- January’s OSGoodies theme is “Infinite Beginnings.” These will be charmy, funky, story-filled pieces of flair to remind us of the many chances each day brings to find joy and inspiration.
- February’s mystery items will be inspired by the Lunar New Year. 2026 is the “Year of the Fire Horse!” These will be colorful, and eclectic additions to any bag.
- In March we will celebrate the Spring Equinox with the “Sisters of the Sun,” which will be a fun, adaptable flair accessory to say sayonara to the snowier months. - Things I'm living for right now:
Charms - ALL the charms; nostalgia - specifically that liminal feeling of watching sunsets as a kid; also fun and funky 90's nostalgia; luxury brand flair; messiness; candy and not dieting; journal "ecosystems"; the ocean; prints like paisley or celestial; tarot cards. - Beyond the return of OSGoodies I have lots of ideas for more small, versatile pieces in ready-to-ship collections. The plan, albeit one that shifts, is to have RTS drop at least once per month. These will be centered around flair as usual, but come the warmer months I plan to share more of the Goods from Old State Garden.
Lastly, our fundraising and charity work will not only continue into this new year, it will be expanded and embraced even more. Mutual aid, grassroots, anti-fascism, and humanitarian organizations and causes will be highlighted and featured with every collection and drop.
